The Euxton War Memorial Group was formed so that all the names on various memorials within Euxton can be brought together on one communal memorial.

Since the group was formed, 29 more names in addition to those already named on existing memorials have been uncovered by our dedicated team of researchers.

Once research on World War I and World War II has been completed, we will start to look at the many other conflicts since 1914 to see if any other men or women in Euxton were killed in active service during conflict.

Our goal is to have one memorial which is accessible to all those who live in Euxton, and to have a place of dedication and recognition to all those from our community who have paid the ultimate sacrifice in conflict.

The aim is to bring our community together on Remembrance Day, it is envisaged that after a march through Euxton on the passing of the 11th hour, our community will pay tribute in a service at the memorial, to those who gave their lives fighting for the freedoms that we all enjoy today.
